Wonder Woman Wins Big at Golden Trailer Awards

Wonder Woman may be leading the Box office but it doesn’t stop it from winning the top prize at the 18th annual Golden Trailer Awards.

The 18th annual Golden Trailer Awards were held Tuesday night at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, Calif., and drew in more than 1,000 attendees.

Wonder Woman won the best of show prize along with the top honor for best fantasy/adventure trailer alongside Warner’s “Lego Batman” which won five awards.

The awards were competitive as ever. Warner Bros., which includes HBO and New Line Cinema, took 26 awards that night.

Fox, including 20th Century, Searchlight, FX, and FXX won a total of 15, while Disney, and Netflix each took seven with Universal, Sony (including Screen Gems), and Lionsgate each taking six.

Wayne Brady served as host and master of ceremonies for the second year in a row. Presenters included Elisabeth Rohm, Pooch Hall, Chad Stahelski, Sugar-Lyn Beard, Tichina Arnold, and Dania Ramirez.

The judges at the awards included Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Jon Watts, Kenneth Branagh, David Cross, Matthew Modine, Craig Mann, Avram Noble Ludwig, Mark Osbourne, Li Bingbing, Anthony McCarten, and Stahelski.

What are the Golden Trailer Awards about?

The Golden Trailer Awards are presented and run by siblings, Evelyn Brady-Watters and Monica Brady. A panel of judges selected from top level directors, producers, actors, writers, executives, exhibitors, advertising creatives and critics view trailers and vote on them.

The awards usually have comedians hosting and presenting, and they are handed out at a live ceremony every May of the year. A selection of the winning trailers can be seen at the Golden Trailer Awards’ website.
