“The King is back”. A catchy but very attractive phrase that has been used ever since the first Android powered Nokia phone was rumoured to be released last year.
Being the first high-end smartphone from HMD global, the finish group making smartphones under the Nokia brand will be called Nokia 8.
Known to accurately leak products yet to be launched, VentureBeat’s Evan Blass and tech blog WinFuture is well known in tech circles.
According to VentureBeat and WinFuture tipped that the Nokia 8 will be released on July 31 but the country to which it will be released in is still unclear.
Below is what to expect from the Nokia 8 according to reports
|Display||A 5.3 inch, 2560 x 1400 resolution display|
|Processor||A Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, which is Qualcomm’s most powerful model|
|Memory/ RAM||4 GB or 6 GB RAM|
|Camera||A dual-camera setup on the back, with both cameras set at 13-megapixels|
|Operating System||Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which is close to the latest version of Google’s operating System|
If the leak is correct then the big borders above and below the display will make the Nokia 8 look a bit dated next to the mini dezel designs of the Samsung galaxy s8, LG G6 and reportedly the next iPhone.
Suitably high-end specs as reported, HMD global has committed to putting a near-stock version of Android on all its phones meaning it should be free of extraneous, performance draining apps.
