2Face Idibia, a famous Nigerian singer faces possible arrest as his plans to protest were meant with criticism when the police issued him a warning.
2Face announced last week that he’d be leading a protest, and police have now warned him that he will be arrested if he goes ahead with Monday’s march.
The afro-beat artist had planned to stage a protest in Lagos and Abuja in response to the declining economic crisis of the rich oil country as per local media reports.
2Face demands for an “urgent explanation into the reckless economic downturn nationwide,” and has called for the support of his fans and colleagues via his social media platforms to join his march against the economic state of the nation.

The star went ahead to post a video on his Facebook wall calling upon all Nigerians and friends to stage a peaceful demonstration against the challenges facing Nigeria.
The group coordinating the protest, @EiENigeria, wrote in its Twitter handle: “In view of the latest police update, how do we proceed with the march? Protest continues as planned. #IStandWiithNigeria. Our leaders owe us their ears too and they must hear us. This march is about connecting the government with the citizens.”
We wish the Nigerian star good luck and lets hope he doesn’t end up tear up gassed like the victims here in Uganda or even worse.
