Google is on the path of unveiling a new Pixel smartphone soon and even though we are still a few months away from knowing the actual details, Android Police released images of what would be the next look for the Pixel franchise.
The leaked images show a larger design of the Pixel XL 2017 and based on Android Police’s track record of revealing new stuff, they are usually accurate and on track.
Based on the leaked design, Google seems to be trying its level best to catch up with the other competition that is Samsung and LG in the display area.
The new Pixel XL seems to be slimmer and taller, about 6 inches with the same 2:1 aspect ratio as the LG G6. LG is believed to be producing both the display and the entire phone hence we expect a difference from the HTC-made Pixels of 2016.
When you look at the picture, you realise that the design doesn’t stray much from the original Pixel. The camera on the other hand looks larger than what is on the current models and its single lens which suggests that they’re foregoing the dual lens style.
Well, the picture still leaves a lot of questions unanswered and we are yet to really understand what Google has in stock for the next generation of Pixel phones. Keep your eyes peeled as the story develops.
