The new Black Panther trailer just dropped and guess what…it’s awesome! The first full trailer was released a few hours ago and gave us a better look at the world of Wakanda.
In the trailer, we see Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), as he attempts to dethrone the Black Panther, coupled with lots slow-motion scenes that left us yearning for more.
Set to a thrilling hip-hop track that incorporates Vince Staples’ “Bagbak” and Gil-Scott Heron’s “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” the trailer shows a whole new corner of the Marvel universe: specifically, the nation of Wakanda, where sci-fi technology meets traditional African culture.
T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) has returned to his homeland to take the throne back as we see Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) remind the Black Panther, “You get to decide what kind of king you are going to be.”
Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler and it’s the first Marvel film to feature a predominately black cast. The movie will have our own Ugandan actors like Florence Kasumba, 39-years acting as Ayo, a member of the Dora Milaje and Daniel Kaluuya who acts as W’Kabi, a T’Challa confidant.
Black Panther comes out on February 16th, 2018.
