A young staff member of the Uganda Cancer Institute by the names of Ezra Roy Anecho has been reported missing. Ezra who was last seen in the afternoon of 11th September, 2019 hasn’t been heard from since his disappearance.
According to reports by Newslibre, all efforts to reach and locate him have been futile. His phone numbers are all off, and his car is neither at his place of residence or place of work.
Speaking to the Public Relations Officer, Ezra is said to have left the Uganda Cancer Institute to head to Makerere to pick his girlfriend at 7:00pm. The girlfriend states that she waited for him but he was a no show and when she realized that it was getting late, she left for home.
Upon reaching home, he was still a no show and so she tried to reach him on his mobile phone which was now off. She got worried and first thing in the morning she reached out to his mother.
The two went to the Uganda Cancer Institute with the hope that he was still at work only to find that he was not there. The case has since been taken to Mulago Police where a missing person file has been opened.
Anecho was driving a Toyota Wish Number UBD 451E. The family is currently with the Uganda Police as they all try to locate him.
Update: Anecho was found alive a few hours ago and now he’s with his family. According to reports, he had been involved in an accident. He was later picked up by police that same night and had been in their custoday.
