Iran Boosts Relations with Uganda

President Rouhani, Iran in meetings at the 6th International Conference on Palestinian Intifada in Tehran, said that he welcomes the boost in relations between Tehran (Iran), Amman (Jordan) and Kampala (Uganda)

In his meeting with the Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, the Speaker of Parliament in Uganda on Wednesday, 22nd February, 2017, he strongly hinted on the current effort by Israel to make people forget the current rights and issues in Palestine.

President Rouhani applauded the increase in Iran-Uganda relations and would love Tehran-Kampala to even grow stronger, he hinted at more Iranian companies investment, praised the presence of Iranian companies in Africa especially in Uganda and the banking sector.

He called upon Uganda and Jordan not to remain silent and to support the people of Palestine.

According to Mehr News Agency – in his meeting with Jordan House of Representatives Speaker Atef Tarawneh, Rouhani expressed interest to deepen collaboration and bilateral relations with Jordan so as to improve the region’s stability and security.
