Makerere Launches New Graduation Gown

As we get prepared for the 67th graduation ceremony, Makerere University has launched a new uniform gown to be worn by the graduates. According to the senior public relations officer of the university Ritah Namisango, the gown is to provide uniformity of the academic dress for graduands (other than have a rainbow of gowns).

The new gown will set back graduands Shs.75,000 which is slightly higher compared to the usual gowns that range from Shs.30,000 – 40,000.

The new gowns are out and are only being sold at Makerere University Senate building. At the moment, its optional for graduands to buy it according Namisango as the process is to take phases but will be compulsory come to the 68th graduation ceremony.

The 67th graduation ceremony will take place from the 21st – 24th of February, 2017. It is with honor that Spur Magazine congratulates all the graduands upon achieving this milestone.
