In case you missed it, Emeli Sande came to Uganda on 27th January, 2017 from Tanzania not for a concert but for charity under the Comic Relief campaign, Red Nose Day.
Yes, it is sad that you missed her because she probably just left today. Don’t beat yourself up about it, it wasn’t that publicised and you wouldn’t have known if you don’t follow her Twitter account.
Little is known yet about why she came but what is for sure is that, she was helping out with vaccination according to her Twitter posts.
Red Nose Day posted on through their Twitter account that Emeli Sande would be helping get street children back to school.
A UK based non-profit organisation, Comic Relief runs a fundraising campaign which was started by film director Richard Curtis in 1988 where celebrities help raise money and awareness of poverty so as to save and change lives. It is celebrated every 2 years.
